She grew up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago. Suzanne is also known as Suzy; she was the oldest of 3 children and had over 50 first cousins between her father and mother’s sides. Her father was an engineer with an MBA and her mother was a nurse, hairdresser and homemaker. Suzanne has 5 children 4 boys and 1 girl. Her lifestyle is very and so is her husband, who is a CEO. Except for work, Suzanne also loves cooking, baking and eating with her husband and children. As mentioned above, Suzy was from Chicago and currently, she lives in Bergen County NJ where she serves on the local board of health for her town in Bergen County NJ.
Suzanne Soliman feels blessed for having the support of her family, mainly her parents. She says they were very supportive and very educated. Her parents never forced any external pressure on her and always wanted her to do well in school. Suzanne’s father was diagnosed with terminal cancer while she was in pharmacy school. She was heartbroken because she had to watch her father die and this taught her how short life is and how to make the best of it. Her father pushed hard to live for his family but the disease killed him. Her father taught to her face all the obstacles and challenges bravely.
Suzanne says that one will struggle to find the balance at the beginning of the journey but eventually he or she will learn the tips and importance of balancing between work life and personal life. She believes that one of the interesting things that happened in her life is meeting her husband, who she met while she was a medical science liaison. She saw his passion for this area, and it was something that immediately opened her eyes to the impact that medical affairs and medical science liaison professionals make in the world.
